Lotro World Character Transfer

For those of you who haven't noticed yet, Turbine has announced that World Character Transfers may now be purchased using Turbine Points.

We are also happy to announce that NA World Character Transfers are now available for transfer between ALL North American servers as of 9th November, 2011!Yes, you may now transfer TO Brandywine, Crickhollow, Dwarrowdelf, Elendilmir, Imladris, Landroval, or Riddermark!
 
The EU World Character Transfer service is available for transfer between all European servers.
 
Currently, it is a known issue that characters cannot be transferred back to a server they were previously on, as doing so will put the character into an unplayable state. We are working to resolve this issue, and will update this post with any news.
 
Please note that the World Character Transfer process requires that we lock your subscription out of the game for about 5 minutes while we process the Character Transfer. This process will boot any characters that are logged in when we lock the subscription. You may receive a notice in game that your account has been suspended. Shortly afterward you should receive your email notification that your character has been transferred.
 
Estimated turn around: within 1.5 weeks (due to volume)
 
Transfers between North American and European servers are not currently available.

Lotro Migration Service Closing on November 9th

Sapience has announced today that November 9th, 2011 is the final day to make the EU migration.

 

On November 9, 2011 the EU migration service will be disabled. Any player who has not migrated their account by this date will be unable to do so. Due to EU privacy laws we cannot force migrate player accounts. If you have not yet migrated to the Turbine Global Service, please do so before November 9th to avoid losing access to your existing account and characters.

Starting November 4th until November 10th, 2011 Turbine is offering new Store Sales:

New Lotro Mount Emotes

Turbine has prepared three new mount emotes that will be available in the LOTRO Store in a couple of weeks:
 

  • /mountbow
    Description: This emote can only be used while mounted and makes your mount bow.
  • /mountkick
    Description: This emote can only be used while mounted and makes your mount kick.
  • /mountrearup
    Description: This emote can only be used while mounted and makes your mount rear up.

 

The mount emotes cannot be obtained via in-game Tokens or as a Reputation reward.
 

The mount emotes are exclusive to the LOTRO Store and the lotteries.

A few days ago I spotted on dailymail an amazing article about Simon Dale, who built a wooden eco-home, similar to hobbit's house, in four months. According to Mr Dale you don't need experience in carpentry or architecture for this kind of project, and the cost is just £3,000 ($4833).

Mount Emotes are coming to the LOTRO Store

That's right, Mount Emotes are coming to the LOTRO Store! Sapience announced yesterday that during this weekend Turbine'll be running lotteries for the new Mounted Rear Up emote. So, Lotro players will have a chance to win Mount Emotes before emotes appear in the Lotro Store! New emotes work on all mounts including goats.
 

Unfortunately you cannot transfer Mount Emotes to any of your toons.
 

Hey guys, just an update. There are THREE new emotes that will be available in the LOTRO Store in a couple of weeks, all three are mount emotes and all three will be available in the lotteries this weekend not just the Rear Up emote.

The October Surprise party for Lotro fans

Sons of Numenor present new players event The October Surprise on October 27th, 2011 at 10 P.M. EST - Landroval server. This event consists of several small events and celebrates the Halloween season. All you have to do is to wear your best costumes, masks, gear, anything fitting of the strange and wondrous season!
 

What you can expect:

  • Music event
    by the Eriador Music Society
  • Trick-or-Treat
    Walk the stunning paths of Dyrthdal, for tricks or treats
  • Fireworks
    An epic display of light and sound!
  • Keg Surfing!
    Try the epic LOTRO “kegs of doom” and see where you land!
    (drink of the four special kegs, and see where they transport you in-game!)
    Let us do the driving as our designated “summoners” call you back for another round/region.
  • Theme Characters
    by the impressionists of Pax Numenore
    (SoN’s heavy RP and character impersonator corps.)

 

Sons of Numenor will provide summoners to the homesteads including those seeking to "Keg Surf". Look for our open fellowship that night! Trick-or-treat will run from 10:30 p.m. EST until the treats are gone!" Much ale and pipe-weed to be had for all! Fireworks to commence at 11 p.m. EST. All are encouraged to wear as outlandish an outfit as you can manage. Masks, odd-looking gear, etc.

 
We believe this is going to be a great Halloween event so come out and join Sons of Numenor in your best Halloween costume!
