Eternal Question
Being an addict of a Game Whose Name We Won't Mention for years it really disappointed me when I realized that in order to accomplish anything, after I reached max level, I needed hours of performing mindless repetitive tasks (various motes for crafting tailoring cloth comes to mind first). Just about that time when I was a few hundred gold pieces from getting that epic flying mount I got a chance to try LOTRO EU beta. I've been a fan of Tolkien's forever by now. Read the first book about 18 years ago. I was excited when the game first finished loading. As I progressed I found a lot of similarities with the game I was addicted to. But, as I went further I finally realized - this story I am playing through is really providing joy to my tired soul. It seemed that as more quests I've done even more became available and never have I had less than 20 quests in the quest book. At that point I've grinded the last gold in that non-mentionable game just so I could say that I was not defeated and never looked back. And here we are now. This site, the game, the story and a great community. Maybe grind is a good thing? Makes you look in other directions and you can even strike gold like I did.
