Okay, I think we're going to be able to turn the festival back on through the weekend, but due to some resource constraints we won't be able to get it turned on until tomorrow.

The festival will be coming back without the horse race. The horse races have been a constant source of pain for QA, customer service, and the developers who have tried to fix them since the very first one. The spring festival race, which broke in a completely different way, was the last straw and until it's fixed once and for all, the decision was made to keep it down. I cannot promise anything, but we've been discussing the best way to make the horse available through other means.

Once again I want to apologize for the lack of communication. I hope this makes up for it a little bit, and I promise we'll keep trying to improve in the future.

It's scheduled to turn off at 12:00PM Eastern on Monday, April 13!

This is a model that, hopefully, won’t exclude Silver members or force Gold subscribers to pay for two services simultaneously. We contacted Turbine today in order to obtain official confirmation of the console title. Turbine wouldn’t confirm any of the source’s information, yet none of it was denied."

Joystig has contacted Adam Mersky Turbine's PR director and the answer was:

"We saw that rumor, too... We're not talking about what we're working on specifically, only that we're making a console MMO and actively working with Microsoft and Sony."

This unnamed console project is in progress and more information we can expect on summer.

The new 12-man raid, Instance Filikul, as Turbine has announced, will take teamwork and strategy with eleven of your friends to defeat the corrupt creature within known as Nornuan. This giant Turtle has 688k morale and no adds at all. The Turtle doesn’t cause any dread, fear or disease. The raid boss, Nornuan, hits with an unremovable raid-wide Acid DoT that stacks over time and another DoT that is applied individually. The individual DoT is a bleed out and the trick is if it stays for more than 30 seconds it does more damage over time and the duration refreshes.

This year Lotro April Fools starts with a letter in the mail, asking you to talk to a town crier. Talk to any crier to enter the session play and get the quest Chicken Run which tells you to arrive outside of Glan Vraig without being defeated. The only problem is that the starting spot has become a battle camping spot for freeps and creeps - fighting over the chickens. As a final reward new title is waiting for you - Fool!

The best part of the April Fools for all EU players is that April Fools won't be on the 1 April:

The Chicken April fools event comes with Book 7. We will run this event on a date after Book 7 is live on EU servers.
