"As we approach the one-month anniversary of the game's launch, we're delighted to announce the commencement of our live, in-game events.

To kick off with a bang, starting Thursday 24th May, a 4-day long series of events will commence. Across all servers and in all languages, events are planned for all levels in a multitude of locations across Middle-earth.

The overriding theme for anniversary event is the celebration of "Forelithe" (the month before midsummer) and the different programme of activities will include plots and sub-events that form part of those festivities.

To keep abreast of what events are happening on which days and which servers, please be sure to visit our new events forum. One section is for the news and announcements and the other is for you to discuss any aspect of in-game events and we particularly welcome your suggestions and ideas for events you would like to see!

Additionally, please note that the events will also be announced on our website events page which can be found here: http://www.lotro-europe.com/events.php

We hope you can all attend at least one of the events over the next week whether it's the Role-play, the rescue, escorting, partying, good versus evil and of course feasting, there will certainly be something for everyone!

"Bad quests" are bound to happen in any given RPG. We found out that LOTRO is not immune to this once we ventured into the old forest given a task to skin/kill 25 wolves. There are like 5 wolf spawn spots in the whole forest! And you know how tricky it can be to get around the forest. In any case at some point I had a feeling like wolves were playing hide and seek with us - hence the comic.

Turbine has made a lot of purchasing options for LOTRO at the very start. If I was to name all of them this page probably wouldn't be enough. When you add to that the preorder options European Codemasters offered you can imagine that there were some confused faces among the player community. What seemed to be a common denominator for all "special" preorders/packages/editions was that you get an in game item as a gift. I think in most cases (both in EU and US) you got some type of cloak with a very nicely designed pattern on it. This was to be a feature that would make you distinctive from the non-pre-ordering crowd. Things in Europe got a bit strange though. Everyone that bought a special pre order pack got to start the game some 10 days ahead of everyone else and got this beautiful cloak as a bonus. First day of servers going live people were lining up to go to Middle Earth and soon we were all questing and sending woohooos in the OOC chat. What happened though is that everyone ... was ... wearing ... the ... same ... cloak. And this is the topic of our new Epic comic. (sorry for the long introduction...).

Well you can only imagine what she saw :) Here's a gift to all the female MMORPG players from Lotro Life - may your fantasies come true... And for you guys - this might be a perfect webcomic to show to your lady.

Thanks to the watchful eye of the LOTRO community we have been notified that our site has been swamped with gold selling ads in the Google ads. Prior to posting the google ads on the site we made sure to put in all the best known gold selling sites into our filters. Unfortunately it seems that this was just half the road and that our battle with gold ads has just begun. Therefore we have taken down the Google ads for now and have posted a no gold ads button on all our pages as a statement of our dedication to prevent these from showing up. We will be looking into other alternatives for ad placement on our site and if you have anyone to recommend please make sure to contact us. We didn't start this site with profit in mind but it would be of great importance for its existence if it could at least maintain itself. Thanks again to the Lotro community for pointing this out to us.
